About these terms
They are between you and FixAIro, an appliance repair company launching in Dallas and Fort Worth. Using the site means you accept the parts about the site. Booking a repair means you accept the parts about repairs.
We are launching
At the time of writing we are not yet taking repair jobs. Coverage described on our service areas page is where we are opening, not where we are already working. Call us and we will tell you plainly where we have got to.
The guides are general information
Our repair guides describe what a symptom usually means and what is safe to check without tools. They are general information, not instructions for your particular machine, and they are not a substitute for a qualified technician.
Appliances involve mains electricity, gas, water and heat. Do not attempt a repair you are not confident in, never work on a machine that is still connected to power, and if a guide tells you to stop and call someone, stop and call someone. What you choose to do in your own home is your responsibility.
How pricing works
There are three parts to what a repair costs, and you see all of them before work starts.
- A service call fee for a technician to come out and confirm the problem. It is waived if you go ahead with the repair.
- Labour, quoted as a range before the visit based on what you describe on the phone.
- Parts, priced separately and told to you before they are ordered or fitted.
Nothing is added at the door. If the technician finds the problem is different from what we expected on the phone, they stop and tell you what it means for the price. You decide whether to continue. If you decide not to, you pay the service call fee and nothing else.
Anything we tell you before a technician has seen the appliance is our best assessment from what you described, not a binding quote. The price you approve once the problem is confirmed is the price that holds.
Booking, access and cancellation
You will need to give us access to the appliance, and an adult should be present. If nobody is there when the technician arrives, or the appliance cannot be reached, we may have to charge the service call fee for the wasted visit. Tell us as early as you can if you need to change or cancel and there will be no charge.
If you rent, or the appliance is in a building that restricts contractor access, please sort out permission before we arrive.
Our work
We will carry out repairs with reasonable skill and care, using parts that are appropriate for the machine. We will tell you when an appliance is not worth repairing rather than doing the work anyway.
We cannot guarantee that a repair will succeed on an appliance that is beyond economic repair, that parts will remain available for older models, or that an unrelated fault will not appear later. Where a repair is covered by a guarantee, we will tell you its length and what it covers at the time.
What we are not responsible for
We are responsible for our own work. We are not responsible for damage that existed before we arrived, for faults caused by someone else’s earlier repair, for loss of food or other contents, or for consequential losses such as lost income while an appliance is out of action. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
The website itself
The text, design and images on this site belong to FixAIro. You are welcome to read, quote and link to our guides. Please do not republish them wholesale as your own.
We keep the site accurate but cannot promise it is complete or uninterrupted, and we may change it at any time.
Problems
If something goes wrong with a repair, call us first and give us the chance to put it right. That is usually faster than any formal process, and it is how we would rather handle it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and the terms that apply to your repair are the ones in force when you booked it.
